I'd use some of that money to get a 15^50 inscription for that axe.
The only martial class that should ever use +5 energy weapons is Assassin, and that's only if they've no other choice.
The the rest of the money... I'd either save it for max armour if you don't have it already, or if you really must buy an axe... [wiki]wing's axe[/wiki] or [wiki]dragoncrest axe[/wiki] are affordable choices.

Victo's Battle Axe would be a good choice. Its a green max axe and I see people selling them in LA for 8-10k.

Victos is a solid weapon. I used it for a very long time before switching to axes and it looks good too.

Id second(third - beat me by less than a min) the Victo's Battle Axe, its cheep with good stats and an ok skin.
Also don't worry about what campain skins are in, people in Lions arch will sell items from all chapters so you can aquire just about anything.

I'd rather have murukai's over victo's. Both are fine though.

Furious Axe is a terrible idea. I'll second Stormlord's suggestion.

Victo's Axe or Murakai's Reaver are fine. Murakai's probably costs more, since Victo's Axe has been around much longer.

There is nothing wrong with a Furious Axe if all adrenal and this person only has Prophecies.Go for Victo's if you want a green from Proph.

Furious has been crap since FGJ became double adrenaline, and was meh beforehand. Damage mods like sundering and vampiric are much more useful.

I don't use FGJ I use flail or frenzy as there is no room on my bar for it that is why I use furious. If I had my choice I would use cruel if I was using FGJ but like I said I don't use FGJ.I much prefer flail or frenzy even frenzy in pve.

your best bet would indeed be a green axe, or a collectors axe
going with a green axe has the added advantage of already having the weapon mods aswell.
all the examples mentioned above are options, just go with the cheapest you can find (aim for 5k).

I find it hard to believe that there's not a single redundancy or inefficiency on your skill bar that you couldn't sacrifice to get both "For Great Justice!" and Flail on it. Not only is it a great combination, but its also a good way to prevent yourself from using shitty mods like Furious.

Or shitty mods like Cruel. Deep Wound should really be applied in the last four or five seconds of your targets life in PvE.

Furious should have been bumped to 20% the same time sundering was, but it wasn't and so is very rarely of any use at all.
As for Cruel, well Deep wound should be applied as soon as possible since it reduces not just max hp but healing on the target. A monk suffering from deep wound has his self healing reduced by 20%, that makes killing him much faster and easier.
That being said, since most methods of applying deep wound last 20second(or there about) there is no need to extend it with a Cruel mod since nothing should live for 20seconds with you attacking it.
